Five Times Faster, Half as Alive

It has been four years since I started working as a professional software developer, plus two more years before that, working as a freelancer and experimenting with projects. After the recent developments in AI, I started to lose interest in what I was doing. I'm not saying I was an expert, but "I liked it. I was pretty good at it, and I felt alive."

Since January 2026, I've been using AI agents in my workflow. At first, they were merely a replacement for Stack Overflow. But after using agents for some time, the way I work and look at things changed drastically. My efficiency multiplied by maybe five or six times. But the joy of programming was long gone. I used to code for my own sake outside of work hours — designing and developing new systems, trying to learn new technologies. Sometimes I wouldn't get up from my chair for almost 16 hours straight.

After losing all that, I decided to learn things outside my own field. I've always loved learning by myself, so I chose to pursue a master's degree. Combining different domains with software was my goal, because I knew that being good at only one field wouldn't be enough for the future — so I set my sights on physics.

I've loved science since childhood. When I was a little kid, I wanted to be an astronaut. And now, as times are changing, I believe this is a perfect time to expand our vision and try new things. I will start my master's degree soon, and while exploring this new path, I also decided to start a company. I still don't know if it's a company or a research lab, but I know I want to build things that help humanity — be it energy or astronomy, time will tell. And we'll see what the future brings.
